We're closed for Thanksgiving today.

Except we're not. Not even a little.

The crew's coming in, the ovens are firing up, and we're spending the day doing one of our favourite things: feeding Cranbrook.

No regular menu today. No bills to settle. Just a big ol' Thanksgiving dinner, a room full of neighbours, and hopefully a few new friends by the time we're done.

If you've got plans, wonderful. If you don't, you've got plans now.

Here's the thing about using fresh jalapeños. They don't all play by the same rules.
Sometimes you get a nice, friendly little pepper. Sometimes there's a decent kick. And sometimes you find yourself licking your napkin.
Our Jalapeño Poppers are stuffed with brie, bacon, confit garlic and cream cheese, rolled in a crispy cornflake dredge, and served with green peach salsa.
We make 'em all the same way. How hot they turn out? That's between you and the jalapeño.

Just a little reminder.

Next Monday, we’re cooking Thanksgiving dinner.

Not selling it. Not taking reservations. Just cooking a whole bunch of turkey, mashed potatoes, stuffing and gravy and inviting Cranbrook over for dinner.

Come with your family. Come with a friend. Come by yourself. There’s a seat for you.

When we first opened Fire Hall, we were basically a b**r hall.

We had a small cocktail list our friends helped us put together, and every bottle of w**e came from the same w**ery.

What a bunch of noobs.

These days, the cocktail list is thoughtful, balanced, and properly good.

The w**e cabinet is varied and deep. And every once in a while, Tyler walks by with a tray like this and we think, huh. Look at us.

You came. We cared. We got better.

And here we are, looking like we know what we’re doing.

There’s always room at our table.

On Monday, October 12, we’re closing regular service and opening the Fire Hall for our annual Community Turkey Day.

From 2–7 PM—or until the food runs out—we’ll be serving a full turkey dinner, completely free of charge.

No reservations. No sign-ups. No bills.

Come with your family. Bring a friend, or make one. Pull up a chair beside a neighbour you haven’t met yet. This day is for everyone.

Turkey Day has become one of the most meaningful days of our year—not because of how many plates leave the kitchen, but because of the people gathered around them. It’s a day filled with familiar faces, new friendships, laughter, gratitude and the kind of community we’re incredibly proud to call home.

Drinks will be available for purchase, but not our regular menu.
