Let's help fill the red bags 🛍️❤️

Samuel's Sammiches & Sweets is proud to support Speedy Glass Corner Brook’s Red Bag Days campaign for our local food bank.

For the next few days we're a drop off location for anyone who wants to help fill a Red Bag with non perishable food items like canned goods, pasta, rice, soup, beans, crackers and canned vegetables.

You don't have to donate a lot. One can, one box, one bag, one family helped.

If you're already stopping by for a sammich or something sweet, consider picking up one extra item on your way in. Little bits add up fast when a whole community pitches in.

Drop off your donations right here at Samuel's before September 4. Let's help Speedy Glass reach their goal and show what Corner Brook can do when we come together.

We just found out that Samuel’s has been nominated for the 2026 GCBBT Business Excellence Awards!

Four years ago, Rob and I started building Samuel’s with our own two hands. What started as a dream has grown into something we’re incredibly proud to call part of the Corner Brook community.

Being recognized by our own community means more to us than we can put into words.

Look who stopped by 👋

We had the pleasure of welcoming some of the crew from the Carnival Cruise Line this week, and their first bite in Corner Brook was our homemade ube cheesecake. Since a lot of them are Filipino, ube was not new to them, it was a little taste of home so far from home. That was a good feeling for us too.

Thank you for making us part of your stop here. We hope you left with full bellies and a bit of home in every bite 💜

🔴THERE'S STILL TIME!🔴

Haven't filled your red bag yet? No worries - you've still got time to join in!

Our 8th Annual Red Bag Days food drive initiative in aid of local food banks is heading into the home stretch, and we'd LOVE to see those bags coming back full.

We have decided to extend the deadline to September 4th, as we have always delivered directly after the Labour Day weekend, and we see no reason to break that tradition😁.

Back to school season can put a serious squeeze on household budgets, and a bag of groceries can make a bigger difference than we sometimes realize.

A can of soup. A box of pasta. A favourite cereal. A few lunchbox goodies.

One item at a time, one bag at a time, we can fill some shelves!

And remember - every bag filled earns you an entry for one of our prizes valued at $150! If you do NOT WANT YOUR ENTRY FORM - please fill it out anyway and write "donate back to food bank" on it - we will send a donation of $150 to the food bank in lieu of you taking a prize.

Our village has been supporting this initiative for 8 years, and we can't wait to see what we can accomplish together this year!

This is the one Robert will tell you to start with 🍔

The Samuel is our flagship burger. A juicy smash patty, melted mozzarella, crispy onion straws, pickled banana peppers, shredded lettuce and his house-made signature sauce on a toasted bun.

That sauce is made right here in our kitchen, same as everything else. Robert has tweaked it over the years until it was just right, and honestly, we think it's what keeps people coming back.

It's $13.99 on its own, or $21.99 with fries and a drink. Swing by for lunch and you can watch it come off the grill in our open kitchen 😊

And save a little room, because the dessert case is full this week ❤️

We're setting up a table at the Fall is in the Air Craft & Gift Expo

Corner Brook, mark your calendars. We'll be joining over 100 island wide vendors at 30-Six Productions' fall craft fair, and we're bringing samples to share.

Come find us and try a taste before you decide what to bring home. We'll have some of our baked goods on hand, and we'd love to say hello.

Two of our menu items with no gluten ingredients 🍟

Rob's poutine starts with fresh cut fries, and they go in their own dedicated fryer, separate from anything breaded. The gravy has no gluten in it either.

And our pancit is made with bihon, a rice noodle, so no wheat there. Made fresh to order, one size, made to share.

We'll be honest with you though. We're a small kitchen and everything is made in the same space, so we can't promise zero trace contact. If you have celiac or a serious sensitivity, give us a call before you order and we'll walk you through how it's made.
