🍇 Happy first day of minimal smoke in August! 🍇
FINALLY!! 🙌😄

Since yesterday was a little more tolerable (smoke-wise), we were finally able to get outside and tackle a tiny portion of our absolutely CRAZY, abundant grape vines! 🍇🍇🍇

And let me tell you… these grapes are SO delicious that even our girls 🐔🐔 (the chickens!) were getting in on the action — just the ones that had dropped, of course. 😂

And we’re putting these beauties to good use!

To those affected by the fires, we are thinking of you all ❤️ We have space on our farm for a few travel trailers with water, shower and laundry available. Free coffee and a pancake breakfast for evacuees and discounts at the restaurant to eat, breathe and try to relax a little. If in need please reach out and we can give more information through messenger or call Aaron at 250 308-4001. Very nice to see people and businesses trying to help in these very tough and scary times. Stay strong 🫶

Our beautiful Concord grapes are coming in HOT and we couldn’t be more excited!

We’ve got grapes for sale at the restaurant, grapes on your plates with your meals, and shelves FULL of grape jelly… and we mean FULL 😍
Spicy, sweet, and everything in between — if you’re a grape lover, this is your time!

Our little farmer has been busy picking too… although let’s be honest, most of them end up in her belly or getting shared with the chickens 😝

When our farm meets our kitchen… this is what happens 🌱🍳

Went out to the garden this morning and chopped down some spicy arugula — figured we better put it to good use 😉

Today’s special is built just how we like it:
Pick your favourite homemade bread (🍞 sourdough gets our vote every time), layer on some homemade whipped hummus, pile it high with fresh arugula, and top it off with an egg from the grill 🥚

Comes with fruit and crispy hashbrowns to fill your boots 🍓🥔

A little farm update from the strawberry patch 🍓🌱

We dug up 500 plants from our oldest patch — the one that’s been fighting weeds for a few too many years — and gave them a fresh start in a new field. Laid down landscape fabric to keep the weeds back and make picking a whole lot easier come harvest time.

Each plant’s got its own drip line now too 💧 less wasted water, healthier plants… just the way we like it.

Still thousands more to move this fall, but it’s a good start and we’re pretty excited about it.

If all goes to plan, next year’s berries are going to be bigger, sweeter, and worth the wait 🍓

Stay tuned… there’s lots more moving to do before next strawberry season.
