It’s Pea Soup Friday again! Then Saturday and Sunday! (What?) And reading week was here!
It was wonderful to see familiar faces, especially these two! (Behind the scenes, Bec was there, but I couldn’t convince her to pose for the photo. It didn’t surprise me; she’s always been shy!) She did capture this beautiful shot of her best friend, amazingly artistic Aurora. Kaylob’s adorable lil' brat babe, and we’re incredibly proud of her! 🔥🔥🔥

Yesterday I was devastated to learn of John’s passing when I arrived at work. He’d been a regular at Kaylobs for years, and we’d always enjoyed pleasant conversations. The entire staff admired John. Interestingly, I never knew his name. While Amanda was braiding my hair, both she and Sylvia insisted I knew him. It wasn’t until they provided his description that it clicked—!!! I felt my heart shatter into tiny pieces because I’d never taken a picture of him. We quickly offered a prayer together, and I spent the rest of the day thinking about him. When his daughter is ready, we’d love to see her in Kaylobs.
He’ll always be remembered as The Sasquatch Legend of Kayluvs, and perhaps that’s why I never managed to take a picture of him!
Rest easy, John. See you on the other side. ❤️💫🦅
