Our Story
From scratch cooking with in house sauces and baking. A family restaurant run by family, serving families and expanding our family of customers.
Started back in 1992 by a guy named “Roy” he had a vision of making a place and he did. Roy’s Place is now owned and operated by Brandi & Kieth Carlson since 2007. Brandi is the personality out front and Kieth is the Chef in the back. Classically trained chef that likes comfort vs. fluff Kieth moved back to Claresholm to create a new Kieth’s Place but after exposure from national television such as “You Got to Eat Here” & “Chopped Canada” Roy’s Place signs still hang outside, even if they have a new look.
Come on in and find out what most folks already know. Come in to eat and if you get the right day with the Carlson’s ready to act goofy you might get a heck of a show as well.
Sign at the entrance will tell you not to come in grumpy because we don’t take ourselves to seriously. It’s small town comfort food, made right. We move fast but treat everyone the same, so if your abused, feel good because your family now. If you want to act ”special”, there is a special kind of place we have in our hearts for you. We all breath the same and expect that we share the air equally. High heels or chore boots well make you smile
