After being closed for over a year since the building fire incident two doors over, we are on the eve of reopening! We can’t tell you enough how excited we are to be back to cook for you all again, thank you all for your patience. ☺️🙏

With our renovations nearing completion, we are hoping to re-open our restaurant next month some time mid- to late July, although we don’t know the date just yet. We will let you know as soon as possible!

Today we celebrate the 25th anniversary of E. Yong Oriental Restaurant! Happy birthday, E. Yong! 🥳🎂🎊🎉

Since the building fire incident in mid-July last year, it has been a bumpy road for the past eight months in getting our restaurant to operating shape, and we are wishing that we could open sooner for you all.

An update on our reopening, we have decided to hire our own contracting work to complete the remainder of the repairs and renovations, so it’s still a few months off. We will announce when we are closer to reopening.

We miss you all so much!!!!

Hello everyone, we hope you’ve all been well! Our family has been doing fine despite the long and grueling process with the insurance company in repairing and renovating our restaurant back in working order. Back in the early morning of July 16th, our building had sustained smoke and water damage during the building fire incident two buildings next door and it has been over four months since.

As far as we know, there is still plenty of work to be done, but the insurance company has been indifferent on what needs to be repaired.

We are so sorry for the inconvenience, we really wanted to be open in time for the holidays but at this point it is unclear on when we will re-open. Rest assured, we will let you all know when we can re-open again.

We miss you all!

Due to unforeseen circumstances, there was a fire two buildings down from our restaurant, so we are closed until the Chilliwack fire department concludes their investigation. 🚒

We apologize for any inconvenience.
