Went to the lake and visited Rondeau Joe's this weekend for lunch. Great Patio. Beautiful View and Great Food. I had the Haddock on a bun and my wife had the English Style Beer Battered Fish. The Haddock was perfectly cooked, juicy and tender and full of flavour. The Beer Battered English Style Fish was just as good. We recommend this place and will be back again ! Thank you Rondeau Joe's for your great service and excellent food :)

Ended up outside of Chatham last week and stopped by Wayside Dining Lounge in Talbotville (Hwy 3) for lunch.

Nice and friendly staff greets and seats us and provides us with drinks.
There is Schnitzel on the menu. I love Schnitzel so a no-brainer for me and Schnitzel for lunch it will be and of course my choice of side dish is fries.

It doesn't take super long for our food to come out. It looks and smells wonderful. I am excited. Home cut fries, a fairly sized schnitzel topped with sauce, an ear of sweet corn and a slice of pickle are on my plate. The schnitzel is perfect. Nicely breaded flattened pork with a sauce to die for. The fries are just as good and the corn is sweet and buttery and the pickle is juicy. I am very impressed. The food is excellent and super fresh.

Conclusion : Presentation is good. Food is excellent, tasty and fresh. Selection is good. Staff is very friendly and caring. Atmosphere is good and price of food is very reasonable. We had a great experience. Thank you Wayside Dining Lounge and staff :) We will be back !

Last week we decided to order food and have it delivered. My wife wanted a Panzarotti and I was thinking of a Calzone for myself. So we gave Andys place a try.

Ordering went smooth and fast by phone and within 45 minutes our order was delivered at our doorstep.

I also ordered a side of fries with it. Nice big steak fries, very tasty and a great combination to eat with my Calzone. The Calzone is baked and brushed with garlic on the outside, golden brown and filled with my favourite items, cheese, pepperoni, bacon and ham. Portions are huge, Plenty of leftovers for the next day I am telling you :)

Conclusion : Food is nice and warm upon delivery. Food is good and looks good. Delivery guy is friendly.Price of food is reasonable. Would order again from Andys place. (Calzone in picture is cut in half).

Finally, businesses starting to open slowly again so we made a lunch reservation at the Bayside Brewing Co. in Erieau.
With this weather the lake is the place to be :)

A friendly greeter welcomes and seats us and it doesn't take long for our waitress to come out to handover the menu and take our drinks and food order.

I feel like a light lunch so I go for the 3 piece perch, fries and coleslaw. We are at the lake so I might as well enjoy some fresh caught local fish.

While enjoying the bay scenery it doesn't take long for our food to come out and the perch seems small but taste delicious. I enjoy it very much so. The breading is thin but crunchy and tasty and the fish is nice and thick compared to the breading, the way it should be. The fries are delicious as well and the coleslaw is amazingly fresh and definitely home made. Everything is excellent and that includes the staff. Our waitress is such a caring and lovely person. Very refreshing, just like the food. My wife and myself are impressed and will be back for sure !

My conclusion :
Presentation is good. Food is good. Selection is good. Staff is very friendly and caring. Atmosphere is great and price of food is very reasonable. We had a great experience. Thank you Bayside Brewing Co. and staff :)

Unfortunately but totally understandable we are not able to go out and eat because of the virus going around so we stayed home and made ourselves a delicious little dinner tonight :)

The potatoes are a Russet. You can't go wrong with these ! They are boiled to perfection and therefore melt in your mouth. The green peas are from frozen. Just heat and serve and surprisingly tasty. The meat is a Pork Loin Rib End Roast. Seared first and slow cooked in the oven. Very juicy and tender. The gravy are pure meat drippings. Overall a very tasty dinner.

My conclusion :
Presentation is good. Food is good. Selection is good. Cook is friendly. Atmosphere is great and cost of food is very reasonable. As a matter of fact this was the cheapest meal in our restaurant review so far :) 😁🤣😋

Lunch time so we stopped by The Buffet in the Casino in Chatham.
Last time we tried dinner here, now let us try lunch.
Friendly staff welcomes and seats us. We now know how it works here with drinks. You get your own coffee, tea or pop out of the machine. No problem, we know now, but maybe it would be a good idea if the staff would explain this to you. Especially handy if this is your first time here.

Anyway, the buffet food looks good. They have roasted potatoes, lots of stuff to make your own salad, Creamy corn, chicken and ribs and more. Furthermore, you can make your own sandwich. Sliced salami, cheese, ham and egg salad are just a few items to put on your sandwich.

The chicken is good, tender and not dry. The ribs are good as well. Potatoes are good. The corn taste good and I love the egg salad. It is nice to have the option to take a few slices of deli meats and cheese, breads and a croissant.

There is a small selection of desserts including soft serve ice cream. For a small buffet the selection is not bad.

My conclusion :
Presentation is good. Food is good. Selection is good. Staff is friendly. Atmosphere is okay and cost of food is very reasonable. I actually like this better than their dinner buffet and the price is so much more reasonable.

We went to The Buffet in the Casino for dinner in Chatham. Place looks clean. Staff is friendly and welcoming. We are early so it is not busy at all. This is our first time here and apparently you help yourself with coffee, tea or a pop. There is no waiter or waitress taking orders for drinks. If you want a beer there is bottled beer that you can purchase at the entrance of the buffet. If you like a glass of wine with your meal or something else you can purchase that either at The Match around the corner or in the Casino. Very inconvenient.

Tonight is Italian food night and it looks good. Soup, Pasta, Chicken, Fish & Pork are the mains. I take a little bit of each. The chicken is very tasty. The fish is okay. Not much flavour though. The pork is good. The stir fried vegetables are good.

Although the theme of the buffet tonight is Italian I understand the focus is on Pasta and stuff but it would be nice if there was at least one choice of potatoes or something. Maybe it was there and I missed it. I don't know.

Anyway, after two plates of food it is time for dessert. The selection is okay. I take some warm bread pudding and ice cream. It is a good combination. I like it.

My conclusion :
Presentation is good. Food is okay. The chicken and the pork are the highlights in my opinion. The staff is good and friendly. Atmosphere is okay and cost of food is in my opinion expensive for what you get in return.
