ENOUGH IS ENOUGH.
For the second time in just TWO WEEKS, our restaurant has been vandalized.
I’m tired. I’m frustrated. And honestly, I’m sick and tired of seeing small businesses being targeted.
We keep our lights on all night. We have a security system. We do everything we can to protect our property, our staff and our business. Yet the people doing this don’t seem to be scared.
The amount of damage and the value of what has been stolen is becoming overwhelming. We are now involving the police and our insurance company, and we will be taking this seriously.
But this isn’t just about our restaurant.
This is about EVERY small business in Chatham-Kent.
These businesses are owned by your neighbours, your friends, your families and people who work every single day to build something in our community.
We need to look out for one another.
If you see something suspicious, say something. If you see vandalism happening, report it. Communicate with other business owners. Share information. Watch out for your neighbours.
We cannot simply accept this as the new normal.
We need to stand together, protect what we’ve built and take our community back.
To the person or people responsible: we hope you are identified and held accountable through the proper channels.
To our customers and our community: thank you for standing behind us.
Small businesses are the heart of Chatham-Kent.
Let’s protect them.
Let’s look out for each other.
Let’s stand together.
ENOUGH IS ENOUGH.
