For all those who have messaged asking if Glitters is reopening, I am sorry to disappoint you but the recent "Reopening" signs in the windows of 162 King Street have been placed there by the new owners of the building.

The Glitters name, menu and recipes were not sold with the building so although the new business may be a restaurant and may have a similar menu potentially, it is in no way associated with the Glitters registered brand.

Sorry, you still won't be able to get the Glitters secret french fries seasoning.

Fun fact, Glitters was originally called "Moviola Cafe" when we opened in 1983. Rico and his family (who are cousins of mine and Gino), at the same time opened a Moviola Cafe in Sault Ste. Marie before moving into the food manufacturing business. Aside from the breaded and unbreaded cappellettis that we have used over the last 30 years, Rico also used the original Moviola Cafe recipes to manufacture our Perogies, Meat Lasagna & Sausages, among other items.

Glitters Alfredo Sauce Recipe...Enjoy

Béchamel Sauce (Rue):

Ingredients:
1/2 Cup Butter
1 Litre Homo Milk
3/4 Cup Flour
3/4 tsp. Salt
1/ tsp. white pepper
1/4 tsp. Nutmeg

1. Add melted butter into mixing bowl.
2. Add flour slowly to to butter. Flour should come away from the sides cleanly without sticking.
3. Heat Milk separately in double boiler until warm. Do not allow milk to boil or get too hot.
4. Add flour/butter mixture to warm milk and whisk until smooth.
5. Continue to heat flour/butter/milk mixture until thickened.
6. Add spices and stir.

Alfredo Sauce:

Ingredients:
1 lb butter
1/2 litre 10% cream
2 cups finely ground parmesan cheese
2 cups Béchamel sauce (see above)
3/4 tsp. Black Pepper
3/4 tsp. Salt
1 tsp. fresh parsley

1. Melt butter in pot on low.
2. Add cream slowly and bring to a boil.
3. Reduce heat & add parmesan cheese.
4. Whisk until butter, cream, & cheese are melted.
5. Add béchamel and continue to whisk.
6. Add spices and whisk until creamy smooth.

**Business Closure Update**
The Covid-19 Pandemic has had a devastating impact on our financial viability making it impossible for us to continue operating and recover from it’s effect. After careful consideration we have decided that we have no choice but to cease operations and permanently close effective immediately.

We want to thank everyone for their support and patronage throughout our 37 years of operations in Chatham.
