Did you pick up a Musa basjoo from us this year? How is it doing?

Here’s a little before & after: tiny plants in spring → our greenhouse banana, now a giant in the morning sun.

This is one of the hardiest bananas you can grow, rated for Zones 4–11. Yes, with the right conditions and winter protection, Musa basjoo can be grown as a perennial here in PEI.

And the fun part? This banana is the same age as the plants we had for sale this year. They grow FAST.
