Dear friends, loyal patrons, and beloved supporters of Gaia’s Urban Eatery,It is with a heart full of deep gratitude and a quiet ache that we share this news: After five beautiful years, Gaia’s Urban Eatery will be closing its doors in downtown Charlottetown. Our final day of service will be December 30th, 2025. What began as a simple vegan/vegetarian eatery grew into something far more meaningful because of you. Gaia’s became a place where compassion shaped every choice, where sustainability lived in every dish, and where community blossomed in every shared moment. You transformed this little dream into a beacon of connection.Together, we celebrated milestones that still leave us humbled: • Voted Charlottetown’s Best Vegetarian Restaurant for five consecutive years an honor made possible only by your unwavering support. • Champions of the 2023 Burger Battles, with a creation that captured hearts and taste buds across the Island. • Recognized by USA Today as one of Canada’s Top 10 Best Vegan Restaurants in 2023.These achievements are not simply plaques on a wall, they are stories of you: your visits, your votes, your encouragement, your voices lifting us higher. From the bottom of our hearts, thank you for choosing kindness on your plates, for standing by us through every season, and for making Gaia’s feel like the warm embrace of family. As this chapter draws to a close, we invite you one more time, or ten to return and savor your favorite bowl, wrap, burger, or simply stop by to say hello. Your presence has always been the true flavor of Gaia’s. A Gift of Gratitude, To give back to the community that carried us, we will devote Christmas Eve, December 24th, from 11:00 am to 3:00 pm (dine-in only) to pure, heartfelt giving. We will offer free, nourishing meals to anyone who needs it, warmth or comfort on a cold winter’s day, no questions, no expectations. Whether you join us for a hearty soup or a festive treat, let’s share one final moment of kindness together.This farewell does not come from a loss of love, but from the natural shifting of seasons and the call of new paths ahead. Though we say goodbye to the walls that held so much joy, the story of Gaia’s may not be over. Perhaps someone reading this now feels a spark a vision to continue Gaia’s legacy.
