Here’s a little something the whole family can enjoy this holiday season 🤤

We love using syrups to add a little something extra to cocktails 🍸️ and spiked hot drinks. But these fun and flavourful syrups can be added to almost any drink, whether it be sparkling water, coffee or spirit-free options!

Want to make the most of your cuppa? 🤩

Do not—we repeat, do NOT—re-boil that kettle.

It may be easier to re-boil the kettle and make another cup after your tea gets cold ❄️. But, by doing this, you are guaranteed to give yourself a dull cup of tea.

You see, re-boiling water depletes the levels of dissolved gases such as oxygen and nitrogen in the water 💧, resulting in a less flavourful brew.

Now, it’s worth noting that if you have perfectly pure, distilled and deionised water, re-boiling may not have as much as an effect on the taste of your brew. However, ordinary tap water 🚰 or water put through most common commercial filters contains dissolved gases and minerals.

The solution is simple: take extra care to put fresh water in your kettle before every cup! 🤤

🥪 Festive Finger Sandwiches: No tea party would be complete without a selection of sandwiches. For the holidays, try incorporating seasonal ingredients into your fillings like turkey, cranberry, and stuffing, smoked salmon and cream cheese, and brie and cranberry chutney for a vegetarian option.

🍪Scones with a Seasonal Twist: Sweet cranberry or raspberry scones, filled with strawberry jam and thick clotted cream won’t just be a welcomed accompaniment to your tea, the colours will match your Christmas-themed décor.

We talk a lot about our love of the Camellia Sinensis plant (a species of evergreen shrub or small tree used to produce green and black teas). But one of our favourite teas is not actually made from Camellia Sinensis at all 😱

In our humble opinion, Rooibos is one of the most underrated tea varieties out there.

With a sweet, nutty flavour and earthy notes that are similar to yerba mate, Rooibos often features hints of caramel, vanilla and a smoky essence—perfect for those of you with delicate palates.

It also happens to be caffeine-free and contains one of the highest concentrations of vitamins and polyphenols of any blend.

Meet the purr-fect tea time companion 💦

These clay figurines, lovingly referred to as tea pets, are much more than just cutesy accessories 😍. Tea pets are an integral part of traditional Chinese tea ceremonies.

Traditionally, these small clay figures, often shaped like animals, were placed on tea tables to bring good fortune 💸. As tea drinkers sat in ceremony, they would pour drops of tea over their pets to “feed” them. Over time, the changing smell and colour of the clay would represent all the wonderful cups of tea they enjoyed 😌

All tea pets are associated with good luck although the different types of animals have varying, specific meanings.

🐈️ is a symbol of good luck and fortune and happiness.

🐲 symbolize power and strength.

🐕️ represent loyalty and honesty.

🕊️ represent wisdom and peace.

Whether you believe in the figurine’s ability to bring good fortune or not is up to you. But we love any chance to embrace the ceremonial side of tea.
