A New Chapter Begins
❤❤❤ After 36 incredible years in the restaurant industry, Chef Wayne has made the difficult, but exciting decision to retire from the restaurant business. With that decision, we are announcing the permanent closure of our restaurant Emma’s Kitchen in Candle Lake as of Monday October 26th.
For 36 years, this industry has been more than a career. It has been a life filled with long hours, unforgettable meals, wonderful memories, friendships, challenges, and the privilege of serving so many amazing people. Chef Wayne is incredibly grateful to every customer, employee, supplier, friend, and family member who has been part of this journey. Your support over the years has meant more than words can express.
While the restaurant doors are closing, Wayne’s passion for food isn’t going anywhere as he looks to start a new chapter in food production, serving in a different way. Wayne is looking at bringing his many years of experience, deep understanding of food, preparation, quality and love of food into a new venture, focused on creating a new line of mixes, brittles, chocolates, candies, popcorn, plus much more, that he has aptly called Honey & Herb Creations.
This isn’t goodbye to the food industry — it is simply a change, the beginning of a new chapter, and this next new chapter holds so much promise and opportunity that we can’t wait for it to begin.

Thank you once again for 36 amazing years, and especially the past 5 years here in Candle Lake. We are truly grateful for every meal shared, every conversation, and every memory made.
