Meet our new team member, Madden!

Madden enjoys both art and exercise. He loves painting, particularly with watercolour, but he is simply happy to be creative in any medium he can try. He loves to go cross-country running on beautiful days as a way to stay healthy and active. When he has a spare moment, some time with his friends is a great break from the regular day-to-day routine!

What is your favourite part of Fall?

McKenzie's favourite part is Halloween. She enjoys the fun of the holiday. She is planning to go to Edmonton for a couple of days to take part in some costume contests. She needs to have multiple costumes for it and would appreciate some help deciding which costumes she should wear for it.

Do you have any ideas for her? To win a costume contest, ideas need to be clever or incredibly detailed, so what would you recommend?

What is your favourite kind of food?

Jayson LOVES spicy food and creamy sauces, like in Indian or Asian cuisine. He has a couple of favourite dishes that feel like home in every bite:

Bicol Express — A rich, creamy, spicy pork dish. The pork is chopped into cubes, cooked in coconut milk and chilli peppers, and served with steamed rice.

Caldereta — This dish comes from the Philippines! It is a rich, savoury meat stew that blends both Spanish and Filipino flavours. Usually, it contains beef, chorizo sausage, bell peppers, tomato sauce, cubed potatoes, peas, onion, and a myriad of spices reminiscent of both cultures.

Both of these sound absolutely mouth-watering! Which of Jayson's favourite meals would you try to make? There are some great online recipes to follow.

She is an incredibly active person who enjoys going to the gym and playing soccer. She plays in an Edmonton women's Soccer league when she can spare a moment between shifts. Meet our new team member, Colby!

Colby is an active sort of person with a love for golf, hockey, and camping. He will camp anywhere that seems interesting, but one of his favourite spots is Banff. The mountains in that area are stunning, and it is no wonder it is such a popular tourist destination. The nature out that way is just incredible to experience. In addition to playing hockey, he is a dedicated Pittsburgh Penguins fan. When he's not here with us, or out doing something active, he is in school!

Sujan loves the horror and thriller genres. He loves the intensity and the feeling of not knowing what is coming next. His absolute favourite movie from this genre is probably The Conjuring. He feels like it is particularly well done and has become a timeless classic.
