Hi folks, another heartwarming story I’d like to share with you all today.
Last Friday, I headed over to the Campbellford Fair and was taking everything in and enjoying the day. Though my clumsy self managed to drop my wallet somewhere along the way and I didn't even realize it was gone until the next day!
I rushed back to the fairgrounds and headed straight for the registry office. That’s where I met Kathy, who greeted me at the desk. To my relief, she told me a kind soul had found my wallet on the fairgrounds and turned it into the office. Everything was completely intact, not a card or dollar missing.
Unbelievably, this is actually the second time I’ve managed to lose my wallet around town (perhaps I should start chaining my wallet to my trousers)… But once again, the incredible people of Campbellford have shown time and time again of their warmth and kindness. It is truly heartwarming to live and work in a small town filled with such honourable, righteous, and selfless neighbours.
A massive thank you to the wonderful stranger who turned it in (I’d shake your hand if I could), and to Kathy at the fair office for her help. You’ve truly brightened my week.
