✨ Employee Spotlight ✨

Everyone give it up for Cole Sherwin, one of our Production Operators with the Mirmil team.

Cole's been with the family for almost 2 years, and while he primarily supports our Case Line, he also operates our V-Groove machine as needed.

Cole says that his favourite part of the job is working with the team - everyone is friendly and gets along so well with each other, which is a great environment to be in. He also says that seeing the projects completed is a great feeling.

In his spare time, Cole enjoys camping with friends and family, and hitting the trails with his dirt bike.

We appreciate you, Cole! Thank you for being a great member of the Mirmil team! 👏

✨ Vendor Spotlight ✨

We want to give one of our awesome vendors, Levac Supply Limited a huge thank you for hosting their annual BBQ employee lunch for our team yesterday!

It's one of our team's favourite days, and for good reason - the food is delicious, the door prizes are amazing, but for us, partnering with Levac can't be beat! Their kind, friendly team supports all of our safety initiatives with and care.

Thank, Levac, for all that you do to keep the Mirmil team safe! And congrats to the winners of the door prizes - Sheri, Eli, Marc, Rob, Julia and Kevin!

✨Employee Spotlight ✨

Please give a huge "hey there!" to Ashton Winacott, one of our Shippers with the Mirmil Logistics team!

Ashton has been with the Mirmil family for over a year now, and he says that while he spends some of his work day problem solving to ensure the products can be safely shipped, it's seeing those same finished projects before he wraps and ships them that is his favourite part of the job.

In his free time, Ashton enjoys gaming and camping - and as a fun fact, has a fraternal twin!

✨ Employee Spotlight ✨

Everyone give a huge "what's up!" to Nairne Oliver, a Paint department member with the Mirmil family.

Nairne has been with the team for 1.5 years, and provides amazing sanding and staining skills to the team.

Nairne says his favourite aspect of the job is being able to problem solve any issues that may pop up during a project, and truly enjoys seeing the team's hard work come to life in the finished product.

Nairne is a huge music lover - from playing guitar to listening to it, Nairne is all about the tunes! His favourite artist? David Bowie. Favourite song? "Life on Mars" by David Bowie (and even has a tattoo of it to boot!) 🎶

Keep on rocking, Nairne! We appreciate all that you do for us! 👏

✨Co-Op Student ✨

A huge shoutout goes to our co-op student this semester, Cooper Stanley!

Cooper's been with us since January, and today is his last day as a co-op student - he's done a wonderful job of helping out with the team while learning what Mirmil does.

We'll see Cooper again soon though, as he transitions to a summer student working with the team once his semester is wrapped up! 👏

✨ Employee Spotlight ✨

Everyone give a big "hello!" to Layci Douglas, one of our Paint department team members with Mirmil.

Layci's been with the Mirmil family for 2.5 years, and supports the Paint team with her skills as a Sander, and she also supports the Veneer department as well.

Layci says her favourite part of the job is seeing the project in its various stages - when supporting Veneer, she is working on the beginning stages of a project; while in Paint, she is helping to finish the product before it is installed.

Layci says her spare time is booked solid with her favourite role - mom to her 19 month old son, who she loves watching grow and develop every day.

As a fun fact, Layci has said that she can name almost every 90's country song out there (a challenge a few of us would take on! 😉).

Thank you for everything that you do, Layci! We appreciate you! 👏

✨ Community Event ✨

This past Saturday, we opened our doors to the community to tour Mirmil - and what a day we had! 🛠

The weather was lovely, the team was incredible, and approximately 250 friends, family and community members stopped in to visit with our team, take a tour, and enjoy a BBQ - what a perfect day!

We couldn't do it without our amazing team, who helped prep, organize, and showcase our work to the visitors. The biggest "thank you!" goes to each and every one of them. 👏

For those who stopped in - we appreciate it so much, and hope you had as much fun touring as we did hosting.

What an absolutely awesome day. We can't say it enough - Thank You! 💞
