🎉 2 Years!! Time Flies!! 🎉
Hi, it’s Hiroki 🍣
It’s been 2 years since I took over Wasabiya. (Wow, that means I’ve been here for a total of 12 years!)
What was the highlight? The Ramen POPUP? Definitely one of the biggest highlights! 🍜
I truly love being here every day—even doing something as simple as answering the phone. It’s always wonderful to see customers who have supported Wasabiya since Hiro owned it, as well as so many new faces who have become part of our journey.
Running a small restaurant is never easy—and lately, it feels more challenging than ever with rising costs, the current economy, and staff shortages. However, we’ve reached this 2-year milestone because of our amazing customers, my friend Yasu and Team Kokoro Ramen, my incredible staff, and my family.
I can’t thank everyone enough for the support, encouragement, and kindness you’ve shown us. I feel incredibly lucky to be part of such a wonderful community here in Campbell River.
I’m proud to see Wasabiya continue to grow and improve, and I’m excited about what the future holds. At the same time, my top priority remains the same lesson Hiro taught me from the very beginning: never compromise on quality. That commitment will never change.
My goal is to keep serving the Campbell River community for many years to come, and I’ll continue doing my very best every day.
