September 30
National Day for Truth and Reconciliation
Today, we pause to reflect, listen and learn.
We’re taking some time to listen to Indigenous voices and learn more about the history and ongoing impacts of residential schools and colonization on Indigenous Peoples, families and communities.
Truth comes before reconciliation. Today is an opportunity to listen to Survivors, learn from Indigenous voices and reflect on what reconciliation means in our own communities.
And while September 30 gives us a day to pause and reflect, reconciliation doesn’t stop here. There is more to learn, more to listen to and more to understand throughout the year.
