On Saturday we were honoured to attend Dr. Nhung Tran-Davies’ Celebration of Life. Although somber in nature, her celebration of life was a reminder of how awe-inspiring one person’s impact can be in this world and to always find the good in everything. Words can never sum up how incredible Nhung is and what she meant to anyone blessed to be a part of her journey. She left everyone feeling heard and appreciated, even if you just had a moment with her.
As Many of our regulars know, the reason we had the opportunity to open our shop in the Calmar Medical Clinic is because of Nhung and her husband, Grant. Just like countless others that were given a helping hand from this amazing woman, we were blessed to have the opportunity to meet with her and knew shortly after what our new mission in life was with the shop. Even as we began our journey, Nhung proved integral as the “Chai Expert”. She helped craft our recipe and is ultimately the reason why it’s so special and loved by so many ❤️
With every new person that walks through the Medical Clinic and appreciates the beauty and with every Chai that gets enjoyed, it is just a further celebration of Nhung and what she brought to the world. Pure selflessness and devotion to make the world a better and more beautiful place for everyone to enjoy. Her impact was so profound, it will no doubt have a lasting impression for countless years to come.
It is truly unbelievable to see the impact and effect she’s had on this world (all possible with the backing of her incredible family). Just a beautiful human making the world better for all those around her and it is why going forward, we will be donating proceeds from every Chai Latte sold in our shop to the Children of Vietnam Benevolent Foundation in Nhung’s honour.
Nhung, thank you. We will miss you.
