Dear Friends,
Apologies on the belated note, amongst other things we have been suffering from some social media issues…
We are saddened to say that after almost four years of serving the fine folk of Inglewood and beyond, that due to financial pressures exacerbated by the pandemic, Gorilla Whale will unfortunately remain closed permanently.
We are extremely fortunate and grateful for all of the incredible support over these years - you are amazing! Many many thanks from all of us.
With change comes opportunity, and we are very excited to pass on to you that our beloved managers, Chef Chris Wong and Operations Manager, Jason Wankel have decided to partner together and take the leap to ownership to open a new restaurant concept in the former GW location based on Chef Wong’s experiences living and working in Hong Kong. The new restaurant is called GWAILO, and we wish them great success. Please go wish these two well whenever you can, they deserve it - best of luck boys!!
Unfortunately our IG account was hacked last month and we still are unable to get it back (hey IG, what the heck?!?) so we are having to share this with you strictly “old school”.
