We have some news...

We have decided to close Franca’s to make room for something that we can’t wait to share with you.

Our final service will be this coming Saturday night, May 30. We are open for all regular services until then, Wednesday-Friday Lunch from 11:30-2:30 and Wednesday-Saturday dinner from 5:00-9:00. We hope to see you stop in this week for one more burrata board, bowl of house-made gnocchi, or pollo parmigiana.

We were honoured to live in the world of Franca’s, even if just for a short time. We also have loved sharing in your special occasions, holidays, and memory making. Thank you for making this time so very special.

This isn’t goodbye, however. You will still be able to experience the amazing hospitality you have come to expect when walking through these doors at 3811 Edmonton Trail.

We are excited to introduce to you, PETALO - Calgary’s newest restaurant experience. Petalo (Italian for petal) will feature Italian cuisine that is fresh, light, vibrant and contemporary, with nods of Mediterranean influence.

We are giving the interiors and kitchen spaces a major facelift, which will feature beautiful textiles, greenery, new lighting, and something we are super excited about - a brand new bar with seating!

Our phone number will remain the same (403-277-0766), and you can still reach us at [email protected] for awhile if you have any questions.

In the meantime, make your final reservation at Franca’s for this week, and while you’re at it - make one for Petalo beginning mid-June at https://www.francas.ca. Our Open Table platform will remain the same, and all of your future bookings can still be made at that link.

If you have future Christmas parties booked with us, or any other celebrations, we will be in touch directly to continue finalizing our details and to create your menu. We will still be honoured to celebrate with you and yours around our King’s table. And opportunity to create cutom multi-course menus will still be available.

We’ve thought of everything – a special spritz for mom to enjoy as soon as she sits down, a fun, kid-friendly three course menu so the Littles can feel just as important as the adults, choices in the four course menu so you can choose what you like, and custom luxury gift baskets to have waiting at your table when you arrive for that extra surprise.

Our custom luxury gift baskets have been reimagined with Moms in mind- with 2 special variations just for Mother’s Day. The “girl dinner” basket with the full spread perfect for a girls night or to keep all to herself and the something sweet basket stacked with all essentials for a quiet moment alone or sharing.

Orders must be placed 24 hours before gifting. Let us know ahead of time and we can have your gorgeous basket waiting for you at your table when you dine with us for brunch or dinner on Mother’s Day.
