Today, we pause to honour the children who never returned home, the Survivors of residential schools, and the families and communities who continue to carry their impacts.

Truth and Reconciliation calls on all of us to listen, learn, remember, and reflect on our responsibilities to one another. May today be an opportunity to deepen our understanding of the history and ongoing legacy of residential schools, to honour Indigenous voices and experiences, and to consider the meaningful actions we can take toward reconciliation.

We remember. We listen. We learn. We commit to doing better.
