Break the Silence: A Community Mental Health Fundraiser
Mental health doesn’t discriminate—and neither should access to support.
At Balance + Restore Co., we believe everyone deserves access to quality mental health care, regardless of where they live or what they’re facing financially.
That’s why we’re hosting Break the Silence, a community fundraiser dedicated to making therapy more accessible for those who need it most.
Although our clinic is proudly located in Strathmore, we provide virtual counselling services throughout Alberta and across Canada (excluding Ontario). If you’re in Calgary or the surrounding area, you can access support from the comfort of your own home—no commute required.
Why We’re Fundraising
The funds raised through Break the Silence will go directly toward Balance + Restore Co.’s subsidized therapy program, helping reduce financial barriers to accessing professional mental health care.
These funds will help us:
Provide subsidized counselling sessions for individuals, couples, youth, and families experiencing financial hardship.
Support clients whose workplace or private insurance benefits have been exhausted but who still require ongoing therapy.
Assist individuals and families navigating job loss, medical challenges, unexpected life events, or other financial barriers.
Offer crisis support funding so families facing urgent or traumatic situations can access counselling when they need it most.
Continue expanding access to mental health care through both in-person services in Strathmore and secure virtual appointments for clients throughout Alberta and across Canada (excluding Ontario).
What to Expect
Break the Silence is an evening focused on education, connection, hope, and reducing the stigma surrounding mental health.
The evening will include:
Guest speakers sharing their personal experiences with mental health and resilience.
Community conversations that remind us none of us are alone.
A silent auction supporting affordable access to counselling.
Mental health resources and opportunities to connect with local professionals.
Silent Auction Donations Needed
We’re currently looking for businesses and community members to donate items for our silent auction.
Donations of any size are appreciated, including:
Gift cards
Gift baskets
Products
Professional services
Experiences
Event tickets
Wellness items
Restaurant certificates
Family activities
Handmade goods
Beauty, fitness, or self-care packages
Every donation helps make professional mental health support more accessible for someone who may otherwise go without it.
