Here at Kesh Kesh, our Director, Mr. Fenkil Asghedom, has ensured that every coffee that reaches your cup is sourced ethically and direct. You’ve likely heard the term before — but it carries many layers. Today, we want to highlight just two of them:
1. Transparency & Traceability
We work directly with every source we partner with, staying in contact throughout the year to follow climate challenges, harvest conditions, and the wellbeing of the farmers. Each bean can be traced back to farms we have visited ourselves — including Rwanda, Kenya, Uganda and Ethiopia. Our friends at The Clarke Farm & Coffee Estate in Western Uganda, warmly welcomed and gave us firsthand insight into picking, cleaning, and sorting out their coffee beans.
2. Community Impact & Local Empowerment
Our work is only possible because of the farmers and the communities surrounding them. Their dedication and care shape every cup we serve. This dedication extends far beyond the beans — they are empowered in their community by now having a good source of income, a voices, knowledge, and alas improving livelihoods in these areas.
During each of his visits, Mr. Fenkil takes the time to listen to farmers speak about their livelihoods, how coffee has shaped their lives, how the harvests are progressing, and the challenges they face. And, of course, to share a good laugh along the way.
