Recently added to our collection is a vintage Royal Albert teacup and saucer in the stunning Delicate Lavender pattern. Featuring a soft lavender wash around the scalloped edges, gorgeous pink cabbage roses, and elegant gold trim, this English bone china set is truly a showstopper. 🌹✨

This is what I lovingly call the “bone yard.” A collection of orphaned teacups, saucers, plates, and serving pieces whose partners have been broken, lost, or simply separated over decades of use. It’s a gentle reminder that when you work with treasures that have already lived full lives, a little breakage is simply part of the journey. 🎀

There was something so touching about reading Prince William’s memories of sharing tea with his grandmother. 💙🫖

It reminded me of my own grandma. 🪽

🇨🇦❤️ Canada Day has always held a special place in my heart.

Growing up in and around Raymond, Alberta—home of Canada’s first stampede—Canada Day wasn’t just another holiday. It was a day when the whole community came alive with parades, celebrations, and traditions that made the day feel magical. ⭐️

Years later, July 1 became even more unforgettable when my husband surprised me by proposing… with a banner in the Canada Day parade! ❤️🇨🇦 It’s still one of my favourite memories and a reminder that life’s biggest moments often happen surrounded by community and celebration.

And then there were the years at my Gramma’s house, where the family gathered together. Good food, laughter echoing through the yard, stories shared across generations, and the simple joy of being together. Those are the moments that truly make Canada Day feel like home 🏡

As I look back, I realize it isn’t just the fireworks or the festivities I treasure—it’s the people who made every July 1 so memorable. ❤️

I’d choose a cup of tea over coffee almost every time. ☕🫖

Don’t get me wrong… I enjoy the smell of fresh coffee. But when I drink it, I’m always tempted to add the flavoured creamer (and maybe a little too much of it! 🤭).

Tea, on the other hand? I can happily sip it black all day long. From bold breakfast blends to delicate florals and everything in between, I never feel like I need to add anything. It’s simple, comforting, and lets each tea shine just as it is. 🩷

One of the great Alberta summer dilemmas… ☀️🌹

We wait so long for summer to arrive, and then suddenly it feels like we’re racing against the calendar. The gardens begin to bloom, the patios fill up, and every weekend seems packed with possibilities. 🥰

This rosebud was photographed in the morning and by afternoon it had opened into a full bloom. Beautiful, but also a reminder of just how quickly this season moves. 🌹✨

Every year I tell myself I’m going to slow down and savour it all—the morning tea on the deck, the evening walks, the garden blooms, the backyard birds. Yet somehow I always feel the urge to cram an entire summer’s worth of memories into the first two weeks! 😫
