while these desserts were created for our amazing client Furyal’s Eid celebration, we couldn’t help but think they fit right in with the final days of stampede.

another stampede in the books… and somehow you all managed to keep us fully booked, fully caffeinated, and only slightly sleep deprived. 🤠☕️

this week wasn’t just about pancakes or coffee. it was about catching up with familiar faces, meeting new ones, and creating the kind of moments that remind us why we opened our business six years ago.

still recovering from the exhaustion, but our hearts are so full. 🐎

yesterday, we had the privilege of serving 500+ people in our community through our 4th annual stampede breakfast. 🥞

was everything perfect? definitely not. there were plenty of hiccups behind the scenes, things that didn’t go as planned, moments where we had to problem-solve on the fly… but somehow, we made it through together.

events like this truly take a village. thank you to every customer who came out, every volunteer who gave their time, our incredible team who worked endless hours, our family and friends who jumped in wherever they were needed, and everyone who supported us by sharing, stopping by, or simply cheering us on. none of this would’ve been possible without you.

seeing so many familiar faces from the community that’s supported us over the past 6 years is something i’ll never take for granted. being able to give back to the same city I grew up in means more than I can put into words.

now it’s time for a little sleep, a lot of cleaning, and catching up on everything we put on hold this week. 😭🤠

today may not have ended with the result we hoped for, but seeing canada fight their way into the round of 16 is something worth celebrating. football has a way of bringing people together from every corner of the world, and getting to experience that with all of you inside our little café made this morning so special.

happy father’s day to the guy who taught me that hard work always wins. 👨🏻👔🩵

this photo is from a few years ago at my brother Parth’s graduation (yes… that Parth you guys see running around the bakeshop every day 🤣)

before there was made by akb, there was my dad. the man who taught me how to run a business, how to treat customers with kindness, how to keep showing up even on the hardest days, and how to build something you’re proud of. he helped me build this little bakeshop and café from the ground up, celebrated every milestone with me, picked me up after every setback, and has been my biggest fan since day one.

there isn’t a single achievement of mine that doesn’t have his fingerprints on it somewhere behind the scenes. everything I know about resilience, integrity, and believing in yourself started with him.

if you’ve ever supported made by akb, you’ve also supported the lessons he passed down to me. for that, i’ll always be grateful.
