On November 6th, 2018, Inform Brokerage hosted their first “Food For Thought” event in Toronto, Ontario at the Hilton Mississauga/Meadowvale. Typically hosted in Vancouver, BC since its inception first dating back to 2010. Food For Thought gathers leading manufacturers from North America and abroad allowing them to showcase their products to industry influencers. Key Customers from all facets of the food industry are hosted over a 2-day period to experience first-hand new product innovations and learn about leading trends. These key customers include Food Service, Convenience, and Retail (HMR/Deli Bakery) channels. Together, they participate in one of the most interactive ideation trade shows, where Inform partners can showcase new items and share innovations without restrictions. The Inform team introduces and liaises between key customers and vendors, implementing the opportunity to meet the top industry decision makers.

This venue allows vendors to meet with strategic buyers and have the ability to demonstrate the virtues of product ranges and core competencies. This enables vendors to strategize and educate customers with the Inform’s national team attending from all regions across Canada.

The response from participating principals and customers to the past five Food for Thought Conferences has been overwhelmingly positive, and this year’s event is no exception. Our goal is to bring customers and manufacturers together as the industry consolidates, breaking down barriers to create opportunities. Inform’s Food For Thought event is a strategic ideation trade show, followed by a gourmet dinner, and cocktail venue, where spending time with key customers is priceless.

Inform’s President Napoleon Veltri says, “vision is not seeing things as they are, but rather as they will be”. Inform uses strategic planning to achieve mutual goals.
