Hi everyone,
We want to address an incident that occurred in our store today, especially since similar situations have been affecting other local restaurants.
A customer who placed an online order became verbally abusive toward our staff over a 5-minute wait, repeatedly using explicit racist slurs and vulgar language. Our team remained calm and made multiple attempts to de-escalate the situation.
To ensure the safety and well-being of our staff, we offered a full refund and asked him to leave, but he refused the refund and insisted on receiving his order while continuing the abuse. He eventually left on his own. Had the behavior continued, we would have involved the police.
We fully understand that wait times can be frustrating at times, but racism, harassment, and verbal abuse are never acceptable—toward our staff or any restaurant workers.
We are proud of our team for handling this professionally, and we appreciate the support of our community and fellow restaurant owners. Everyone deserves a safe and respectful workplace.
