Our hearts are full! Our overwhelming gratitude to the German Canadian Association of Brantford for their very generous donation of $250,000, reflecting proceeds from the Association's sale of the German Club (Sonnenhof) property. A portion of the funds have been used in the purchase of dining and conversation sets for each of the Hospice's two patios. The largest portion of the funds has been earmarked for a gazebo to be built in the Hospice gardens. Construction of the gazebo will begin this fall and is due to be completed next spring. Pictured L-R from the German Canadian Association of Brantford are Norm Schein, Barb Rowley, Heidi Modesti, and Bernie Korfmann, along with Julie Powell of St. Joseph's Lifecare Foundation, and Lynn Leach and Kerri VanSickle of Stedman Community Hospice. We will be sharing additional photos with you next spring when the gazebo has been constructed. This wonderful gift will serve as a beautiful legacy of the Association's impact in the community for decades to come, and we are extremely grateful to be part of that legacy. Thank you so much!
