Robin wrote this one! Iâm not really a landscape photographer, but this place was simply too beautiful to ignore. I couldnât help but raise my camera and take a few shots. Theyâre not my best workâyou rarely do your best when youâre photographing something you donât truly love.
Without a doubt, this is one of the most beautiful roads Iâve ever driven. I can only imagine how breathtaking it must be in autumn.
Of course, the trip came with an unexpected twist. Because of tornado warnings, every hotel room in Thunder Bay was fully booked, so we had no choice but to spend the night sleeping in the car.
Honestly, it turned out to be one of the funniest moments of the whole journey.
Mosquitoes kept flying in through the half-open windows to greet everyone. Some people complained nonstop. Some tossed and turned, unable to sleep. Someone tried to swat mosquitoes with a water bottle and nearly smashed the car window instead. Somehow, we all survived the night, and the next day we still had the strength to drive the remaining few hundred kilometers.
At the end of the road, a delicious croissant was all it took to lift everyoneâs spirits.
The dog, without question, handled everything the best. As long as she was with her family, she seemed perfectly happyâwhether she was sleeping on the soft carpet of a hotel room or on the floor of the car.
Little surprises like these are what make a journey unforgettable. They turn an ordinary trip into a collection of vivid memories.
People say vacations are meant to help us return to work refreshed. Maybe theyâre right.
See you next week. Every morning, Iâll be waking this city up with a cup of coffee.
