2025 started off with an audition for The Great Canadian Baking Show, which absolutely rewired my brain.

I didn't make it to season 9, but I was so proud of the effort I put into my audition (i.e. the hamburger cake seen here for the open call, and also the roll cake I made for the next round). Despite not making it on the show, I learned so much, met so many cool people, and was overwhelmed with the love and support I got from my family and friends. (If you're reading this, thank you ❤️)

It was exactly what I needed to jumpstart my motivation, and I got really invested in the failure = learning mindset. The switch was flipped and I made moves in my career, martial arts, and my baking that I'm really proud of!!

At this point I'm excited, not intimidated, by the crazy cakes I see on Pinterest. My daydreams have become goals, and I'm making an effort to learn how to live the life I want.

There's still lots to learn, but I'm looking forward to it. This year I get to make my own wedding cake, and I'm fortunate enough to be taking a honeymoon trip to Europe with my soon to be HUSBAND in the summer. Extravagant gingerbread houses are also now a tradition for Christmas time, and I can't wait to share everything else I get up to.

I'm manifesting season 11 by the way, you're more than welcome to change my life twice 😁

Fun fact: the friendship bracelet along the top of the cake is made with Taylor's favorite candy... A soft and squishy marshmallow snack called squashies!! 🌈
