With the pub doors opening 26 years ago, there have been a few key factors in proving that a “hard to find pub” in small-town Bracebridge can not only succeed, but thrive. Preceding new owner, Ben Elling, the pub was owned and operated from 2008-2024 with the ideals of great craft beer, local food and live music. And Ben intends to continue down the path that was set before him. It’s been home to a lot of great staff and patrons. The food is comforting, the laughter is infection, and the beer… it’s all about the craft beer. The pub walls have seen weddings and proposals. There have been staff fall in love with patrons, and plenty of the reverse. And there has always been a great music scene! With a few changes coming, and a small facelift, the pub will be operating in similar style throughout the summer, with live music Wednesday-Saturday evenings, with great craft beer and homemade, local food.

What a season for your favourite pub softball team! Can't wait for next year!

Congratulations to The Griffin Gastropub for an excellent season!

A hard-fought game with plenty of great plays to celebrate!

Griffin brought some serious defence tonight, highlighted by some incredible grab catches from Joni Cross, Jenny Love, and Allie Cubberly! the kind of catches that deserve an instant replay!

Dani Hely got things started on the mound, bringing her usual energy and giving Griffin a strong start.

The bats were also working for Griffin, with some great hitting up and down the lineup, but they just couldn’t hold off GMS until the final out.

Great game, great season!
