It all began in 1971, after an ad was seen in the paper about a chip truck for sale in Lindsay. We thought we'd give it a try and took turns each weekend operating the truck or peeling potatoes. We'd move the truck around to fairs and other locations, and eventually parked it in the lot at A and P at the corner of Liberty and King streets. When A and P restructured into Metro and space for the chi
p truck was no longer available, we moved to the TSC parking lot for a couple of years. Now, the truck is again parked near its original location but on land we own at 181 King St., across from the 7-Eleven store. It runs 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. Thursdays to Sunday and on holidays.
