For the first time, we won’t be at the Bonnyville & District Chamber of Commerce Chili Cook-Off this year 🌶️

That event has always been one of our favourites—great people, great energy, and a whole lot of amazing chili. It’s been a big part of our story over the years.

We’re proud to have taken home wins in 2015 and 2019, and even prouder to have been part of such a fun community tradition.

We’ll definitely miss being there with everyone this year.

Good luck to all the teams competing—we’ll be cheering you on!

It’s hard to believe it’s already been 2 months since our doors closed.

Seeing this photo takes us right back — the hum of conversations, the smell of fresh coffee, and a parking lot full of familiar faces (and some pretty great cars too 🚗).

This diner was always more than just a place to eat — it’s been a part of so many stories, routines, and memories. And while things are a little quieter right now, those moments still mean everything to us.

💭 What’s your favorite memory at the diner?

We got to watch a cold lake pilot go into space. What an amazing experience.

Tonight, we turned off the lights for the very last time.

The chairs are pushed in. The coffee pots are empty. The cupcake cases are cleared. And the room that once echoed with laughter, clinking dishes, and morning greetings is quiet.

It’s hard to put into words what this moment feels like.

For nearly 13 years, this place has been more than a business to us — it has been part of our everyday life, part of our family’s story, and part of this community’s rhythm. We’ve unlocked these doors thousands of times, brewed countless pots of coffee, celebrated birthdays, comforted friends, and watched children grow up before our eyes.

We made it through changing times, through hard seasons like the Great Recession and COVID, and through long days and early mornings — because of you. Your loyalty, your encouragement, your kind words, and your smiling faces carried us through it all.

As we stood here tonight and flipped that switch, we thought about the regular coffee groups, the milkshake dates, the cupcake celebrations, and the simple everyday moments that meant so much. Those are the memories we will carry with us.

Nothing lasts forever — but what a beautiful chapter this has been.

From the bottom of our hearts, thank you for allowing us to serve you, to know you, and to be part of your lives. You supported us in ways we will never forget.

We will miss you more than words can say.

With love and deep gratitude,
Jennie & Camile
