PSA this is happening tonight (Sunday morning).

BLENHEIM: A planned power outage is scheduled for a portion of Blenheim on Sunday, August 23rd, from 2:00 a.m. to 6:00 a.m. Crews will be repairing electrical equipment damaged during July’s storms and replacing additional equipment.

Approximately 1156 customers will be without power for the duration of the planned outage, from 2:00 a.m. to 6:00 a.m. These customers are shown in orange on the map.

An additional 837 customers will experience a brief interruption of approximately ten minutes at the beginning of the planned outage, from 2:00 a.m. to 2:10 a.m. These customers are shown in yellow on the map. The brief interruption is required to safely complete switching before repair work begins.

The alternate date for this work is Sunday, August 30th, during the same time window.

For 20 remarkable years, the Blenheim Youth Centre has been a vital heartbeat for Blenheim and our surrounding communities, making a monumental difference in the lives of local youth.
