Whew… you folks sure kept us hopping today! We were busy, busy, busy, and we truly appreciate every single one of you. We do apologize if your meal took a little longer than usual. Vern & Shirley’s Galley was on wheels today!

Tomorrow, we’re serving up traditional Turkey Jiggs Dinner at 12 PM and 1 PM. These sittings are by reservation only. If you missed out on a reservation for tomorrow, there’s good news! We still have some seats for Sunday, September 6, and all Sundays through to October 18. Send us a message or call to reserve.

We’re closed Monday and Tuesday to give our hardworking crew a chance to catch their breath (and maybe find their feet again), but we’ll be back Wednesday morning with the coffee on, the kitchen cooking, and the doors open!

Not feeling the pea soup or moose stew? No worries! Ask your server about our variety of daily soups. All-day breakfast is being served as well. There’s something for everyone!

Our Summer Solstice Punch is still available … even though today it feels like summer has finally decided to show up! ☀️

You really can’t go wrong with this one! Our fish platter comes with delicious traditional Newfoundland salads. Pair it with our Summer Solstice punch and you’re all set.

STUFFED CHICKEN BREAST SUPPER TAKEOUT!

Now that we have your attention, we’ve got a real feast coming your way!

On October 1, we’ll be serving up a delicious stuffed chicken breast with savoury dressing, creamy mashed potatoes, carrot & turnip, plenty of homemade gravy, and a homemade bread roll to soak up every last drop. Top it all off with a lemon cream dessert. We guarantee that you will be more than satisfied!

The cost is $35 per meal. Pick-up is on October 1, 4-5pm. This meal is by pre-order only and orders are due by Sunday, September 27.

Well, that was quite a shower of rain. Good thing it’s warm, cozy, and smelling absolutely wonderful in here at the Canon Richards Tearoom, with the aroma from Vern & Shirley’s Galley filling the space.

It may be cooler outside and definitely not looking very sunny just yet, but it’s warm and cozy inside the Canon Richards Tearoom.

Today we’ve got homemade turkey soup, perfect for chasing away those rainy-day blues. Pair it with a grilled cheese, turkey deluxe, or BLT. After all, soup without a sandwich is just missing its best friend.

Our griddle is always hot and breakfast is served all day.

Meanwhile, we’re busy as little bees getting salads ready for tomorrow’s cold plates. There’s a whole lot of chopping, mixing, and salad-making happening behind the scenes and those pre-ordered cold plates will be flying out the door tomorrow!

So come on in and let us do the cooking. We’ll even provide the sunshine… well, maybe not actual sunshine, but we’ll do our best! ☀️
