Our deepest condolences to Brett’s family, friends, colleagues, and the entire Barrie Police family. ❤️🙏

For the 20 years we were running Ital Pizza in Barrie, Brett was more than just a police officer to us. He was an officer, a gentleman, and a true peacemaker. He genuinely embodied the words “peace officer,” a term recognized in the Criminal Code.

Brett had a remarkable ability to de-escalate situations, calm people down, and bring peace when things became difficult. That is what made him such an honourable officer and such a respected human being.

It is heartbreaking that the Barrie Police Service has lost such a dedicated sergeant and truly wonderful man. Brett will be deeply missed and never forgotten.

Rest in peace, Officer Brett. You have earned your place among the angels. May you now be surrounded by peace, light, and the love of our Lord Jesus Christ. 🕊️🙏❤️

May God bless Brett’s family and give them strength during this heartbreaking time.

Another Memory Lane from August 22, 2013! Looking back at how often we were chosen by the community as the best pizza in town brings back so many wonderful memories.

Not to mention, Ital Pizza and Pasta was recognized year after year in The Barrie Examiner’s Best of Barrie including being named Best Pizza and even Overall Restaurant in 2013! 🏆🍕

We were so proud to serve our community, and it meant everything to us that our customers continued to support us and vote for us year after year.

What an amazing time and so many great memories! ❤️🍕🏆

August 22, 2013 ❤️ What a great memory! Dan Marouelli, the former NHL referee, and his wife would come by Ital Pizza and pick up a pizza from us. Then they’d head back home to Oro-Medonte. It was always a pleasure seeing them stop in. So many wonderful memories from those days! 🍕🏒❤️
