Update: The ferry is still going strong as of this Sunday the 13th morning. I’m watching them load the 8:10 ferry. We were told they aren’t looking at strike action until their 21st.

Oct 11 from the Union: Ferries operated by Western Pacific Marine are NOT currently affected by an overtime ban. We are negotiating essential service levels in the coming days and the following routes may be affected should job action start.

Kootenay Lake Ferry – between Balfour terminal and Kootenay Bay Terminal
Glade Cable – between Nelson and Glade
Harrop Cable – between Harrop and Proctor
