"An Important Message from Pitt Street BBQ"
Look, we could tell you July 25th is "just another BBQ event." We could say that. We'd be lying, and also we'd sound like every other BBQ event, which, no offense to them...is a crowded, smoky field.
So instead, here are the facts:
We are smoking a brisket for so long it will have gained more life experience than most adults. It will have gone through several emotional stages. It will emerge tender, wise, and frankly better adjusted than the rest of us.
Meanwhile, over at Cold Bear Brew Co they've spent years perfecting the "Fair Dinkum XPA" — bright citrus, clean finish, the kind of beer that doesn't need us to explain it because the Valley already knows. We're just pairing it with pulled pork and calling it a public service.
There will also be ribs. St. Louis style. Not because we have anything against Ontario ribs, they just... weren't available. St. Louis said yes first. We went with St. Louis.
Kettle chips, seasoned with actual Cold Bear beer salt, because someone over there looked at a bag of chips and said "what if this had a hangover" and honestly, genius.
There is maple butter cornbread. We're not going to oversell the cornbread. The cornbread sells itself. The cornbread doesn't need us.
And because apparently one afternoon wasn't already stacked enough — Bumpky's Bingsu is bringing Korean shaved ice, so you can eat your body weight in brisket and then immediately undo the smart choices with dessert. We fully support this life plan.
Rustix is also bringing their hat bar, so you can walk away with a new brisket, a new beer, a new dessert, and a new hat — basically a full personality upgrade in one afternoon.
July 25th. Noon to 7PM. Arnprior, Ontario.
Come for the brisket. Stay because you already paid for parking. Either way, we'll see you there.
Pitt Street BBQ x Cold Bear Brewing. Smoke meets Craft. Please drink responsibly, and please, for the love of god, get there before the ribs are gone, we're not making more, Kevin already told us
