Update on our property.

Brian and I have been talking about this for a while, and with the news we got today on our hood system, now is the time to move forward.

We're splitting the building:

TEAZERS Bar and Grill will be on one side — old games room, through the sunroom, back to the old pool room, straight out to our huge backyard.

The other side will be BORDER TOWN MEAT MARKET — Your Discount Butcher on the Border.

And to be clear — this isn't your Highland Market.

This is a Gateway-style market. All the same stuff — meat, groceries, produce, everyday essentials. Bulk packs, BEEF • POULTRY • PORK, grocery and produce at Gateway-style prices.

The type of deals you usually have to drive to Halifax for, now right here in Amherst.

More jobs for the area and a lot more coming for this property.

Looking for Recommendations: Metal Flashing Specialist
​We’re getting some replacement windows put in soon by Go Glass, but they don't handle the metal flashing side of things.
​We need an experienced contractor or tradesperson who can carefully remove the existing metal flashing before the install and then properly put it back in place afterward. Because the new windows were a significant investment, we want to make sure the flashing is handled right and watertight.
​If you have experience working with metal flashing on windows—or can recommend someone reliable in the Amherst area who can take this on—please drop a comment or send me a message. Appreciate any leads!

Major Update, Everyone! ⚡🔥
​We are officially about 2 to 3 weeks away from wrapping up our electrical repairs and getting full approval from Nova Scotia Power!
​While our custom, full-length kitchen hood and ventilation system is still being built out (it's taking some time to get it dialed in just right!), we are gearing up to open our doors at night very soon! The full kitchen will follow a bit later down the road, but we want to get everyone back in the building.
​To kick things off, we are planning a massive Halloween Party to celebrate the opening of TEAZERS Bar and Grill! 🎃👻
​Thank you all for your incredible patience and support. Stay tuned for exact dates and details. Get ready—something new is coming to town! 🍻🧛‍♂️

Just one of the cameras we installed covering the backyard. 👀📹 We’ve got them everywhere now — we had to go that route when the power was off.
Was just down tonight firing up the new batteries and making sure everything is good to go.

Well guys, we’re finally coming to the end of the waiting game!
We just got word today that our power should be fully restored by the end of next week. Once that’s finished, the inside renovations will get underway. The windows will be papered up while the work is happening, and then the next thing you know, we’ll be opening the doors to TEAZERS Bar & Grill!
Obviously, with everything that’s happened and all the delays we’ve dealt with, we won’t be having our End of Summer Bash as originally planned. But we always keep our word. We’re simply moving it to a later date, and when the time is right, we’ll make it worth the wait.
It’s been a long road, guys, but we’re almost there. 🍻
