It’s been a little while since we’ve had a chance to stop, take a breath, and say hello.

The truth is… we’ve been BUSY.

Summer is rolling along beautifully here at the OGC. The patio and dining rooms have been packed day after day, all day long. We’ve had lineups for espresso, coffee, fresh pastries and our in-house baked goods every morning, and our sunny, dog-friendly patio has been buzzing with families, travellers and visitors from around the world.

And now…New Brunswick day long weekend is here!

If you haven’t been yet, this is your invitation.

Start your day with one of the most diverse breakfasts around—and maybe a breakfast cocktail while you’re at it.

Then come back for lunch and see why travellers keep telling us how fresh, creative, diverse and downright delicious everything is.

Canada Day has come and gone, summer has officially arrived, and here in Alma we’re shifting into full tourism mode!

The kids are out of school, families are hitting the road, and the village is alive with visitors from across Canada and around the world. If you’re exploring the Fundy Coast, make The Octopus’s Garden Café & Bistro part of your adventure.

We’re serving from 8:00 AM to 9:00 PM, making it easy to join us for breakfast, lunch, or dinner with three completely different menus designed to give you a unique experience no matter what time you visit.

Start your morning with fresh espresso, handcrafted coffee, house-baked pastries, and one of the region’s favourite breakfasts. Join us for lunch with fresh, creative dishes inspired by food from around the world. Father’s Day is this Sunday.

As a father of five girls myself, I know that fatherhood is one of life’s greatest privileges and one of its greatest responsibilities. It asks a lot of us. Sometimes more than people realize.

The sunshine is back, the herb planters are bursting with life, and our beautiful dog-friendly patio overlooking Cleveland Brook is looking better than ever. If you’re looking to beat the heat this weekend, there’s no better place to spend a few hours than Alma!

Breakfast has been incredibly popular, and it’s easy to see why. Freshly baked pastries, outstanding coffee, house-made touches, and breakfast prepared fresh each morning have people coming back again and again.

Lunch continues to work its magic with creative dishes inspired by Chef Joël’s travels, while dinner keeps the tradition alive with handmade pasta, our famous Thai Red Curry Chowder, incredible appetizers, and seasonal features that keep things exciting.

Another beautiful weekend is lining up in Alma and the patio at The Octopus’s Garden Café and Bistro is ready for it.

Breakfast starts at 8am on weekends, lunch rolls all afternoon, and dinner brings out the handmade pasta, local seafood, slow braised favourites, and desserts made from scratch daily. Three distinct menus, all with their own personality, all made with the same focus on quality and creativity.

WEEKEND BREAKFAST
House made hollandaise over eggs Benedict with choices like local ham, smoked salmon, or lobster…fresh baked pastries…great coffee…and one of the best morning spots in the Fundy region to ease into the day.

LUNCH
Creative comfort food inspired by Chef Joël Cadieux’s travels and ideas over the years. Fresh chowders, sandwiches, vibrant specials, house baked sweets, and the famous Thai red curry chowder that people drive long distances for.

DINNER
Fresh handmade pasta made daily, sauces prepared to order, Atlantic seafood, duck confit, lamb shanks, beautiful wines, local beer, and seasonal chef features throughout the weekend.
