📌 Aug 15th Update: yesterday IDS was able to help our O+ in Western Regional Hospital recieve 0+ from a San Pedro Lions Club, Belize. She took a chaperoned water taxi trip to donate in Belize City. Patient requires 3 more pints.

📌 Today IDS coordinated an A- Corozal donor with an A+ Corozal patient

📌 We are so grateful residents around the country are stepping up to voluntarily donate blood to patients in need.

📰 ✏️ In todays news its a balmy day and Island Donors Squad is back on the Caribbean Sprinter taking a donor and two volunteers from Ambergris Caye to help a patient at Western Regional. She is 45, requiring 4 pints 0+ and a healed heart. Will you be one of the other 3? Please reach out. We can start arranging a next boat anytime for donors from Ambergris Caye and Caye Caulker.

📰✏️ In other news, Island donors continues to strengthen blood collection in Belize. Internet fishing conditions on the mainland have been steady, IDS is in process of assisting 3 donors that have stepped up. This helps us to fill three more needs.

We are expanding our mainland donors lists and Belmopan is up and coming. Placencia you are also a donor recruit focus. If you live in either place or know people who do, please reach out and register by fb messenger or email [email protected]

Currently we have 13 mainland patients across the country requiring a combined 34 pints. And awaiting a total from a 14th.

If all our donors can cross the finish line this week we will have helped 4 of those 14 people that need blood.
