Recipe shawarma

Ingredients:

1 pound boneless, skinless chicken thighs or beef sirloin, sliced into thin strips
1/4 cup olive oil
3 cloves garlic, minced
1 tablespoon paprika
1 tablespoon ground cumin
1 teaspoon ground coriander
1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
1/4 teaspoon cayenne pepper
Salt and pepper, to taste
Juice of 1 lemon
Pita bread or flatbread
Toppings: chopped lettuce, sliced tomatoes, sliced onions, cucumber, tahini sauce, hot sauce
Instructions:

In a bowl, combine the olive oil, minced garlic, paprika, cumin, coriander, cinnamon, cayenne pepper, salt, pepper, and lemon juice. Add the sliced chicken or beef and toss to coat. Cover and marinate in the fridge for at least 30 minutes or overnight.

Preheat a grill or grill pan to medium-high heat. Thread the chicken or beef onto skewers or place in a grill basket. Grill for 5-7 minutes per side, or until cooked through and slightly charred.

Warm the pita bread or flatbread on the grill or in the oven. To assemble the shawarma, place the grilled chicken or beef on the warm bread and add your desired toppings, such as lettuce, tomatoes, onions, cucumber, tahini sauce, and hot sauce.
