❝ We ate delicious horse mackerel, mushrooms in butter and garlic and fried squid in Greek style. The fish was wonderfully fried. ❞

The table you want is on the terrace, on the rail, the sea in front of you and the sun going down behind the Old Town. Here is everything you need to know to get it.

🕥 Open every day, 10:30 to 22:30. Same hours all seven days, no afternoon break. The Mediterranean kitchen runs the whole time, lunch straight through to dinner.

☎️ Reservations by phone, +359 88 976 2606. No app, no online form, dine-in only. Walk-ins are welcome and usually fine, but the terrace tables on the rail are the ones people come for, and around sunset they go first. In August they go early. If you want the sea in front of you at golden hour, call ahead.

💶 Cards and cash both work. Prices in euro, roughly €10 to €30 per person.

🗣 We serve in Bulgarian, English and Russian.

🕥 Отворено всеки ден, 10:30 до 22:30. Едно и също работно време и седемте дни, без следобедна почивка. Средиземноморската кухня работи през целия ден, от обяд до вечеря.

Може и без резервация, обикновено има място, но масите на парапета са тези, за които идват хората, и около залез свършват първи. През август свършват рано. Ако искате морето пред вас по залез, обадете се предварително.

Crayfish, seafood salads, a glass of rosé, and the Black Sea past the rail: one table on the terrace at Restaurant Breeze, first line in Nessebar Old Town.

Can't decide? The seafood assorti decides for you: calamari, shrimps, octopus, mussels in shell and crayfish on a single platter.

Want the same thing as a salad instead? Frutti di Mare: green lettuce and tomatoes with mussels, shrimps, octopus and calamari in a house dressing.

And if it's the mussels you came for, they arrive in the shell in wine sauce with dill, garlic and lemon.

Restaurant Breeze is on the seaward edge of Nessebar Old Town, first line, which here means a wooden rail and then the Black Sea. A seafood and Mediterranean kitchen, inside the UNESCO-listed Ancient City.

Whole fish is grilled or pan-fried whole and priced by weight, so you pick the fish rather than the portion. Turbot, red mullet, horse mackerel, small bluefish and thornback ray are all local to this coast; sea bass, sea bream and a salmon fillet are on the same page. Five of them arrive together on the fish platter — one of exactly two dishes Google's listing marks popular here. The other is the seafood paella.

Around them: mussels in shell in wine sauce with dill, garlic and lemon. Calamari Greek style. Octopus in butter. Garlic butter prawns. And tarama, the whipped roe spread traditional to this coast, which comes with warm flatbread and onion.

If somebody at your table doesn't eat fish, there's a full grill beside it. Sach is the one to know — pork and chicken with vegetables, off the heat and onto the table still sizzling on the iron pan it's named after. It's built to be shared between three or four, and it's one of only two meat dishes stamped BEST SELLER on our own card. Then shopska and house salad, and rakia from Pomorie and Burgas, both up this coast.

Open every day, 10:30 to 22:30 — the same hours seven days a week. Around €10–30 a head. Bulgarian, English and Russian at the table.
