➡️Walrus heeft een nieuw album Gierzwaluw.
Een vogel die bijna nooit landt en voortdurend onderweg is. Thema's als verlangen, afleiding, onrust, levenslust en de zoektocht naar houvast keren telkens terug, zowel in persoonlijke verhalen als in observaties over een wereld die steeds meer onze aandacht opeist.

Met dit concert kiest Noppe resoluut zijn eigen koers: dromerige indiepop vol sterke melodieën, poëtische teksten en inventieve arrangementen die balanceren tussen intimiteit en filmische grandeur.

Over het album:
Samen met producer Joris Caluwaerts (STUFF., Magnus, The Go Find) creëerde Walrus een rijk en eigenzinnig klanklandschap waarin piano's, strijkers, elektronica, blazers en subtiele ritmes samenvloeien tot muziek die blijft hangen. Invloeden uit indiepop, postrock, filmmuziek en klassieke muziek geven Gierzwaluw een unieke sfeer vol melancholie, schoonheid en verwondering.

Sinds zijn debuut bouwde Walrus een sterk parcours uit in België en Nederland, met airplay op onder meer VRT Radio 1, VRT Radio 2 en diverse Nederlandse zenders. De band speelde op tal van podia en festivals, waaronder AB, Paradiso, OLT Rivierenhof en Dranouter.

➡️ Een origineel repertoire met een tijdloos akoestisch geluid en een elektrificerende, bedwelmende flow. De songs van Filip Stuerbout (stem/akoestische gitaar) worden begeleid door jazz gitarist Marijke Hellemans (semi-akoestische gitaar).

Muziek van het lijf, voor het hart, in het moment.

➡️ Met gepassioneerde zang, intens slidegitaarwerk en zelfgebouwde instrumentenbrengen ze de rauwe, authentieke klank van de oerblues tot leven.
The Monk, geboren in het zuiden van Spanje, opgegroeid, werd van jongs af aan gegrepen door de rauwe emotie en bezieling die hij in de blues herkende uit de flamenco. Zijn gevoel voor timing, expressieve zang en zijn charisma bleven niet onopgemerkt. Arrow Classic Rock noemde hem “de hoofdklasse van de Nederblues”, en zijn ode aan de oude blues bracht hem nationale aandacht bij o.a. De Wereld Draait Door en De Beste Singer-Songwriter van Nederland.
Gumbo bouwt zijn eigen gitaren en reisde meerdere keren naar het zuiden van de VS op zoek naar de bron van de blues.

➡️tiny_vipers , Seattle’s Jesy Fortino has performed under the name Tiny Vipers since her teen years. Honing her craft in punk houses and squats, Fortino’s haunting folk elegies are as sparse as they are dense. People and times past wander through her songs like ghosts looking for a home, appearing and then
vanishing into deft guitar playing that is reminiscent of John Fahey and Ry Cooder. Her first two full-length records, Hands Across the Void and Life On Earth (Sub Pop, 2007 and 2009, respectively) were masterworks of delicate,
deliberate composition and instrumentation. Rarely has music this minimal made such a massive statement. Years of touring and critical acclaim brought Tiny Vipers a cult following. Despite this, she largely operates outside of the world of mainstream music. A series of incendiary
experimental releases preceded her third LP Laughter (Ba Da Bing!, 2017). A collection of
electronic tracks buried beneath a pane of frosted-glass tape hiss, Laughter shone a light
on yet another facet of Fortino’s prismatic musical identity. 2021’s American Prayer EP saw
a return to the acoustic music of her early releases, its three tracks setting an outstanding
groundwork for her next full-length record.
While Tiny Vipers has shared a stage with the likes of Patti Smith and Damo Suzuki, and
has collaborated with Liz Harris (Grouper) as Mirrorring (releasing Foreign Body on Kranky
Records in 2012), her artistic identity has remained as elusive and mysterious as her music.
It is seldom that we encounter an artist as unique and singular as Tiny Vipers.
