Our beautiful chef Simon formed his own interpretation of Fish & Chips using fine dining methods with a street food influence. We distinguish ourselves by hand cutting all our chips, cooking our homemade sauces in house, creating our own salt blend and of course by serving fresh fish only. This way we want to give you a special Bia Mara experience because we love to sea you smile! Bia Mara started

as a seafood street food market stall in Dublin where we became hugely popular within the market circuit. It wasn't long before we got an opportunity to move to Brussels and fulfil our dream of opening our first Bia Mara restaurant. To say the reception to our concept has been overwhelming is a serious understatement. Brussels has been an inspiration to us and helped us grow way beyond our expectations. Since we opened we have used over 20 different types of sustainable fresh fish. We have created over 40 recipes for our fish & chips and an amazing 25 types of homemade sauce to accompany our delicious chips. Huge thank you to all our customers so far along this path and we look forward to new customers and hopefully more milestones. The name 'Bia Mara' translates as 'Sea Food' in the Irish Language.

Our Story

FRESH SUSTAINABLE FISH & CHIPS

Born on the streets of Dublin with one simple idea, evolve fish and chips to something different. We want to show everybody that fish and chips could be made using any species from our beautiful ocean. Less demand on specific fish can only help the harmony of the ocean. Our first summer we sold Cajun Spiced Panko Mackerel with Lemon Cajun Sauce and our now famously different Seaweed Salted Chips! This inspired us to create over 60 recipes in the coming years including:

Lemon & Basil infused Tempura of Sea bream with Garlic Truffle

Lime Mint & Wasabi infused Tempura of Flounder with a Basil & Chilli Sauce
