If anyone knows what a true FERM party looks like, it’s Emily and Dylan. For years, they’ve been familiar faces on our team as flexible crew members. But this time, they were on the other side of the bar. Welcome to their very own 'Rollercoaster Romance': a custom, fancy funfair built around everything that makes them uniquely them.
The idea started right at home, as Emily and Dylan live in the Plezantstraat. I have no idea why I originally wrote this down in capital letters, but it turned out to be crucial. Add their love for themed parties with karaoke, tons of glitter, dressing up, and a high-energy party vibe, and the foundation for their funfair concept was set. But it went even further…

Dylan is a gamer at heart, and anyone familiar with GTA knows the iconic Santa Monica Pier—a place famous for its amusement park packed with rides. On top of that, they chose 'West Coast' by Imagine Dragons for their first dance. As you can feel, everything came together so beautifully that we just couldn't ignore the funfair concept. The instantly recognizable Santa Monica arch naturally became a recurring element in the design.

From fresh pizzas, haute dogs, warm popcorn, and cotton candy to a nostalgic candy bar: the funfair vibe was palpable at every moment. And the experience went way beyond the food. Guests tried their luck at a claw machine filled with fun personalized socks, tested their fiery passion at the love tester, sang their hearts out at karaoke, and raised a glass to their favorite cocktails during Happy Hour.
And that name, Rollercoaster Romance? It refers to life itself, of course. Life is a rollercoaster full of steep drops and unexpected turns, but as long as you're sitting in the front car together, it’s one big, incredible ride.
