One week ago, we stood in the lobby of the European Parliament’s House of European History.
A room full of people gathered to reflect on the relationship between Europe and impact of its colonisation
And in the middle of it all , our team, pouring drinks, holding the room, building the bridge we’ve always talked about.
Behind every Utamu cup, a name, a farm, a story.

This is our Ethiopian filter — 𝐇𝐞𝐥𝐞𝐩𝐡 𝐓𝐬𝐞𝐠𝐚𝐛, 𝐀𝐲𝐞𝐥𝐞 𝐓𝐮𝐥𝐮 𝐖𝐚𝐬𝐡𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐒𝐭𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧. Fully washed. Chamomile, apricot, lime. Clean, bright, and unmistakably East African.⁣
But before it reached your cup, our co-founder Victor was there. Walking the drying beds. Meeting the people who turn each cherry by hand. Building something that goes beyond a transaction.⁣
At UTAMU, we don’t just source from East Africa — we centre it. Because the region that gave the world coffee deserves to be celebrated on its own terms.⁣
