What a fun experience to visit the beautiful HEILANDT Kaffeerösterei roastery in Cologne! Our friend Julian from liquiddream.coffee and HEILANDT Kaffeerösterei gave us a tour, which was quite a source of inspiration for our roasting ambitions 😊☕️

We must ring our own 🔔 this time 😉 we are really proud of our business model: your coffee never changes ownership after leaving the farm. It is brought in one straight line from Colombia to our roastery ➡️🌞the sun is giving us all the energy to produce our quality roasts, no CO2 at all is produced during roasting and we deliver in a electrical van! 👏🏻🩵🌞🇨🇴➡️

We would like to make our contribution to the country that is very dear to us and where Velvet was born more than 10 years ago. We have created a special espresso blend called “solidario”, its notes are typical Colombian “sweet chocolate and caramel” but we added a touch of “honeysuckle fragrance” to make it a super sweet and delicate coffee. All the proceeds of the sale go to Pereira, the epicenter of the earthquake. As always we will be very transparent, Olga Lucía Botero, our good friend from Pereira will direct the funds to where they are needed most. Available on our website and in our roastery for Euro 14.5

This is a story we thought we would never live: a loyal client from the Ukraine placed an order on our website. Unfortunately the package got stuck with customs. But then a missile hit the customs building and everything was destroyed. We must have sensed something because the same day fate struck, we had already sent a new package to the 🇺🇦. It arrived finally, making our client a happy man. It made us realize that the war in Ukraine is not so far after all and what the Ukrainian people after such a long time, still must go through. We appreciate enormously their strength and will not forget this is also for our benefit, for all of us Europeans 💛🩵
