Looking ahead to 2025: a unique collaboration with Milk of Lime is in the making…

As the farmers fields rest and recharge, we are preparing for an inspiring new year. In 2025, we will present an exciting performance event featuring an art installation, a pop-up store and a unique food experience.
Among the exciting new collaborations, we will launch our very first room fragrance ‘Fallen Trees’ from our series Field Studies!

We are deeply grateful for the meaningful connections we’ve made in the past year and look forward to new collaborations in the year to come, evolving into new field studies.

With kind regards,
Ann, Koen,
team september.

We have a new and beautiful product we want to introduce to you.
An atmospherical home fragrance presented by september., that will be launched later this autumn.

For the 10th anniversary of the restaurant september., we are embarking on an exciting collaboration with various designers and artists. This collaboration will bring together creative talents from divers fields, presenting a unique fusion of culinary art and design. The project will be showcased in various field studies, under the name ‘hi from earth’, representing a celebration of the restaurant’s journey and its connection to global artistic influences.

FIRST COLLABORATION, FIELD STUDIES N°1: FALLEN TREES
Field studies n°1: fallen trees was curated by Ann Van der Auwera, scenographer, food stylist and of course founder and for many years the main chef of restaurant september.
She chose this specific fragrance for its main ingredient the Japanese cypress: “Hinoki, a variety of Japanese cypress wood, is celebrated for its beauty, durability, and subtle natural fragrance. Traditionally used in the construction of temples and shrines, hinoki cypress, along with incense, defines a scent that fosters a serene atmosphere, evoking a sense of tranquility and sanctuary.”

“Fallen trees has an earthy presence of a timeless forest and the smoke of burning wood,
a sence of impermanence. It is a reflection of the numerous actions and energy involved in creating a dish, culminating in a state of being—an experience, that is ultimately fleeting and embodies temporality—the impermanence.”
